Oh don't worry.. I'm super worried about mucking up exams and stuff so I think we're all a little scared..
And I've had experience with programming (only VB though) and I'm okay with hardware (built my own pc) you?

I've only used VB too! They start from scratch anyway so i guess any experience is not necessary but obviously would help a bit. I'm so excited now!

Yeah I was worried at first that others will have a lot of experience with programming, but tbh there's going to be loads with none at all so I'm not particularly bothered now :smile:

I'm just glad that VB has given me a basic knowledge about the structure of code and how you can implement it in different ways (oops vs event driven for example)

Yeah having knowledge of VB is good because you'll have grasp of code structure and things so it'll be easy to pick up other languages :smile:

Did you do any maths revision btw? I need to do some next week in all honesty :L

I did as maths and maths for IT practitioners in college.. but tbh all they said in the email was to go onto GCSE bitesize and do the numher and algebra sections... so don't worry if you haven't done maths past GCSE.. loads of people won't have done it :smile:

We can always ask at enrolment if there's anything else they want us to revise anyway :smile:

I have an email from Stuart Allen, the Director at the School of Computer Science & Informatics in Cardiff. He said to familiarise yourself with Number and Algebra on the BBC bitesize section, which I've linked below :smile:

I did some basic programming, and my maths is not the best :L
I moved in to carsiff last week, but most people move in today I'm pretty sure :smile:
