Just something I saw people talking about on ja606.
With the Arsenal cash reserves at around £180m, the FIRST thing they should be looking to do is reducing ticket prices across the board for fans. The cash that fans have parted with for almost a decade now is ludicrous - and with the Arsenal squad paid higher than Chelsea's now, you've got to say that Arsenal directors need to take measures to give something back after a relatively barren decade in terms of trophies.

Telegraph have cited our wage bill from last season and simply added what Alexis, Welbeck, Ospina, Chambers, etc. are on. Hence, they have conveniently forgot to subtract the likes of Sagna, Bendtner, Park, Fabianski, Vermaelen, etc... whilst removing the likes of Lampard, Cole, Luiz, etc. from Chelsea's.

Not to mention that our wage bill includes all our staff members, and Chelsea don't include any of their loanees

Ashley Cole & Fernando Torres probably earnt more than that lot just between them.

Aren't Fabregas & Costa on £200k a week at Chelsea though? That article doesn't make sense, someone correct me if i'm wrong but the only Arsenal playerson over £100k will probably be be Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez & possibly Ramsey.

It doesn't make sense because its garbage journalism. They've quoted the figures we released earlier, but these figures don't reveal what our players are on individually, but collectively, which is why they haven't subtracted the annual wages of players that left in the summer.

The difference between Chelsea's wage bill and Arsenal's is wrt the highest threshold. Arsenal's maximum threshold is £140,000. Chelsea don't have a limit but going by Costa & Fabregas & Hazard it would be around £200,000. Apart from the highest earners, most squad players are quite even between us going by salary because we have a more socialistic model.

but again we've included our entire staff, players loaned, youth, etc. whereas Chelsea have not. I don't think there is much transparency in much of the stuff Chelsea publish (financially) anyway, but whatever

Really expect us to get done tomorrow tbh. Any poster on here could tell you how to beat Arsenal tactically atm and Villa know very well how to counter and defend deep in blocks, exactly what we dont need to play against. Maybe an early goal or something would win it for us but I'm not confident.

End of the day, out season will amount to crawling into 4th if we're lucky, knock-out to Real/Bayern/Barca in the next round and that's it again. £170m in the bank as well and Sanogo, Arteta, Flamini, Bellerin are all in or around our first team. 4 fit defenders at present, no reliable goalscorer and 11 CAMs. No other team anywhere is run like this, it is madness.

Depressing.

Tbh I'd suggest making an account, always good discussions, but wouldn't trust the thread about Ozil starting in the middle as Wenger's comments seem to suggest the opposite.

Poverty like Podolski is on £100k a week, Giroud £60k a week, Ryo on £20k etc. It all adds up.
