For history it's all about revision, you need to jam everything full of specific knowledge, and make sure you stick to the timings!!
I do English separately so I get 2 English lessons a day :ahee:

And 4 teachers for it lol

Yeah, the amount of time you spend on each question (and even each paragraph in each question!!) is more important than I can stress, especially if you have a tendency to overwrite like me :tongue:

If you ever want any more specific advice for something then just ask, I've still got all of my history stuff from last year :biggrin:

And it's more the teachers than the subjects haha, my favourite lesson out of everything is the poetry & drama section of lit (they're done by one teacher, while the other lit teacher does prose), then my second favourite English is the written part of language :biggrin:

The spoken part of language and the prose part of literature are joint, but that's more because the teachers make them dull :frown:

I love Jane Eyre so much, but it gets tedious when you spend a whole lesson listening to the teacher go over key quotations from each chapter :yawn:

As Shakespeare once said, 'brevity is the soul of wit' (that doesn't make it any easier though :lol:

) Basically, you just have to make sure you're not repeating yourself, and you can always go back in and add more stuff if you have time at the end, but you can't give yourself more time :nah:

You just have to keep practising, if you do practice essays make sure you always do them in timed conditions :smile:

Partly I suppose it is the whole social prestige aspect of it, but in terms of academic achievement for what I want to do (law), it's always been the/one of the best :smile:
