stats: predicted 4 A* (maths FM chem and physics)
got 5 A at AS (above+french)
Applying to Oxford, Bath, Edinburgh, Manchester and Imperial! Have an interview at Manc in Nov and acknowledgements from all but Imperial.
Panicking slightly as my lowest offer (if I get them!) will be A*AA...

Risky! I've talked to quite a few people now who have applied with an all or nothing attitude of I'm either going to the best unis or I'm resiting the year.

3 out of 5 unis I've applied to require 2 A*s and an A, one uni needs 1A* and 2A's and the lowest offer uni is 3A's :redface: ...

1 AAB
1 ABB
So I feel slightly more relaxed than you guys, I imagine...

Will be interesting to see if the offers match their official requirements

Major back up is hoping that edinburgh let me into first year.... fairly confident about getting at least 2 A*s though so hopefully it'll all be okay

well they do a broader first year, where most students take 3 different options and then specialise, so there wouldn't be a big knowledge gap. id definitely cover some things over summer though before term starts

From Manchester applying for straight physics msci apart from nat sci at Cambridge :smile: Bristol, Edinburgh (didn't realise about extra year until after I applied hahahaha), imperial and Sheffield.

Got an offer from Bristol AAA today, interview on 3rd nov at imperial - anyone else going down then?

(Doing maths fm chem n phys btw)

Are you applying for Warwick as well??? It may take longer coz joint course usually needs two department to make a decision. Don't worry!!!
When did you submit your UCAS form?? I sent it on last Friday.

Yes I'm applying for MathPhys there too :smile: I submitted a day or two ago, just before the oxbridge deadline :s-smilie: I won't worry then, I just expected that you had your reply in a matter of hours or something!

No I didn't get the offer that quickly...Probably because physics is a kind of course that the university needs to consider carefully about people's application so it takes longer time. My friends who applied for maths got offer really quickly.
