Need guidance for degree options!

Hello people of the Internet. Would just like to ask a number of questions concerning my future university degree choices. I am currently a Year 12 student 7 weeks into A Levels and I have had a 'realisation' and consequently change in my aspirations after university.

I am currently studying 4 A Levels: Sociology, Psychology, Biology and Chemistry.
Now I wish to pursue a degree and career linked to my science passion however upon starting A Levels it's become apparent that my strong point is Biology and my weak point Chemistry - so much so that I plan on dropping Chemistry at AS. Now I originally hoped to take on biomedical science however realistically without an A at Chemistry A2 it's virtually impossible. My expected grades are the following for AS, Biology :A, Sociology: A, Psychology: A and a C in Chemistry. I wish to go to a Russell group university after A2 and wondered what science related courses could be possible without a full a level on chemistry but focus on my love for Biology?

Any that don't require chemistry. There are too many to list, but generally they will be those that are involved in more macroscopic biology. Just look at the requirements on the course pages.

This will depend on what type of biology you like-human biology/animal biology/plant biology. If you can be more specific, I'd be able to give a more specific answer.
There are a number of possibilities. You could go for biological sciences, anatomy, zoology, neuroscience or indeed natural sciences degree(see the cambridge/ucl courses) which gives you the option of specialising in any of the sciences. Alternatively, you could try and get help in A level chemistry and strive towards a better grade. This will certainly open up more opportunities in pursuing a science degree. There's a massive jump between gcse chemistry and A level chemistry and it could just be that you need some extra help in understanding the concepts. However, if you can't stand it at all having given it your best shot, thats fine.

You need to give more info on exactly what you like about biology.

i would try not to give up chem so soon, it's such a varied course our class was basically split throughout. Most of us hated it at the start though. It got a lot better when people decided to stick it out because of how varied it is. Things get much more interesting when you succeed in it that's almost always true, so anything you find difficult at first don't worry about needing to go over it at your own pace, works so much better than trying to go with the whole class. You can get mislead easily that's all i wanted to say.
