I dunno if it's just the depression talking, or if I genuinely just hate studying. Either, can't seem to bring myself to finish my college work that due this week :sigh:

In a lecture and suicide was briefly mentioned and my metaphorical balls shot up to my stomach. Happens every single time.

Back at uni and I'm trying to pass time by in the library because I don't want to spend so long in my uni house.
In SUCH A GOOD MOOD now that I think I might actually be getting somewhere with my first proper uni assignment! I'm not entirely sure I'm doing it correct, but at least I have something to hand in now.

I need to focus on things that actually need to be handed in, and on going to my lectures, but remember that extra reading and extra notes can be done at any time, even when I go home at Christmas, provided that I've learnt it before the exams!

still got a lot to do though

Finally called my psychiatrist about how I'm not coping and he gave me an emergency appointment for later. Scared...

Student support guy was nice. Booked me an assessment with the mental health specialist for the 3rd of November.

Well done to all of you for taking steps to help yourselves. bullettheory, I hope the emergency goes/went ok, good luck, and Noodlzzz, I hope the crisis team can help you. Cinnie, good luck for your assessment on 3rd November too, I'm glad the student support guy was nice.

Odd socks, well done for going to uni today, that can be very hard to do when you're feeling rubbish.

And ScaryScience, that sounds like a sensible idea if you're feeling so bad at the moment, your well-being comes first. Do try to talk to someone if you're feeling very very low.

Had an appointment with my SEDCAS worker today, went ok although not great weight-wise and body image blah. Now trying to sort my meds out...phoned the GP on Weds but they couldn't write me a prescription because they said they didn't have the letter from the psychiatrist on my community team after I saw her last month (after being discharged from inpatient on 19th Sept), but that they'd chase it up. I've got a copy of the letter which they printed out for me today anyway now, but just need to get them to do my prescription now, my meds all run out on Thursday. :\
Found myself in a situation where I could very well be doing an assignment on mental health in education. I can choose what topic within education and argue for a change in it. For whatever reason, I'm thinking an essay on placing some emphasis in raising awareness for mental health could be happening. I don't know...I have some other little ideas aware from mental health though just in case
really starting to freak out about my appointment tomorrow :erm:

Yes. 100%, without a doubt. When I was inpatient we had Nutrition groups with the dietitian, and she often used to mention people she'd worked with who would eat things like chocolate, sweets, a slice of cake, whatever, because it wasn't the calories in things like that that worried them so much, it was the overall picture - so they could have a slice of cake for example and that was fine, as long as, e.g. they were still under-eating throughout the whole day, or as long as they had that as their meal, or something like that.

That was a very long rambling way of saying it, but yes, it is definitely possibly to have an ED and still eating chocolate, sweets, things like that. If you're struggling with 'normal meals', that is still a big sign of an ED.

I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow x
