I want a change of career path but i'm scared to do it. This is my main thing holding me back in my life and ultimately why i'm not satisfied in life. I really should address this.

Do you know what you would like to do as a career?

I want to do some kind of engineering in railways, maybe signal engineering or in general. I have a few ideas of ways into the industry but some of them involve stepping down to NVQ or Advanced Apprentice level, not sure if that's wasting my degree or not :s-smilie:

That sounds great!

Voices saying bad things so have meeting with THEM who shall not be named and CC and GP to discuss options.

Ok well I hope the meeting goes ok, and that you can come to an agreement over treatment that's not too overwhelming for you.

That's the end of Step 3 but we didn't get very far on the Manosphere front. My T is treating it as obsession/addiction/intrusive thought and most likely symptomatic of the Internet/porn addiction as a whole

Cool, well if you need help then message me. It's basically the same as what I'm doing. Won't be home until 7pm tonight though :s-smilie:
TLG Update: Met mental health advisor at uni. She's gonna email my supervisor and talk in v general terms about not putting me under too much pressure etc.

Also, in therapy today I disclosed something that had been weighing on my mind a lot that I had never told ANYONE (and had promised myself that I would NEVER tell anyone). Not sure if it was the right thing to do, but a big step nonetheless :colondollar:

I was talking to my therapist today about some of the intrusive thoughts I had and she likened it to OCD-type thoughts. Made me think of you

:hugs:

Btw, I dunno if you got my reply to your PM? Hope I didn't say anything too outrageous :o:

Sure. Do you want to try answering any of these questions you think are relevant (just short answers will do, can expand on them later)?
- what's your favourite thing about studying science? Will it be part of the course?
- do you plan on having a career in or related to science? Will this course help you?
- do you prefer theory, practical stuff or both? Example of something you learned that you thought was cool/interesting?
- is education important to you in general? Why?
- do you have plans for after the course, e.g. uni/work etc.?
- do you think this course will be challenging for you?
- how do you think this course might broaden your horizons? Do you think it'll help you grow as a person or make you more interested in the world?
- have you heard or experienced good things about the college? If so do you get on well with the teachers? Why do you want to study there specifically?
- what makes you a good student, e.g. hard-working/dedicated/interested in learning/curious about the world?

Thank you! I'll answer them all the now. :yep:
The two headings I have to write under are "What career are you hoping to work towards?" and "Additional information". All really have at the moment is a summary of my extra curriculars and a "I really want to do this course" schpiel. .
