Do you mind if I search and find you training contracts with ACCA?
Please note that in order for your practical experience to count you can work for any firm, as long as the work you are doing within the firm is of an accounting or financial nature.

Yes please, I also forgot to mention I only have 280 UCAS points from 3 A levels, rather than the standard 300.

Ok thanks, I just heard some people say that you might now learn as much as you could from an accounting firm if you didn't work in one.

To join ACCA Knowledge Level, you need to A-Level and 3 GCSE or equivalent.
If you do not have any formal qualifications you could join the ACCA through FIA (Foundations in Accountancy) and once you successfully complete it you will be transferred to ACCA directly and you can then do Skill Level from then.
If you read the OP Post you will find this information.
But as you say you have 3 full A-Level, then you can join as an ACCA Student to learn ACCA.
You meet the minimum entry requirements and can register directly to the ACCA register. You would then be able to start from paper F1, F2 and F3.
Nothing refers to the UCAS in this professional qualification.

Any contract will be sufficient. As long as the work is relevant then it will be fine. It should be relevant to either finance or accounting.

I guess so.
I saw those discussions and in most discussion websites see all recommend BPP.
I guess BPP is better and that is why it is expensive.
Even I use BPP books for ACCA because that is recommended by the BPP University.

What.is harder ACCA or CIMA in terms of exam preparation, taking the exams.

I heard CIMA will start doing computer based exams in 2015.

Can someone be honest.and tell me which one is the easiest option.

I will be graduating in 2 years time, bear in mind I willhave only 5 examsto do for acca and 9 computere based exams for cima.

Experience is essential to being an accountant that is going to work - unless you gain this experience (3 years ACCA for example) you will not be a full member and cannot use the letters - you can still work

Nothing is hard in my terms. If you study then you will achieve.
I am not sure about the computer based exams for CIMA but, ACCA does computer based exams.
It's just that people speak comparing courses. Do not worry about that. If you study you can pass any exam. :h:

ACCA is maintaining their standards and more preferred by employers. CIMA didn't maintain their standards and even reduced their entry requirements so that nearly all can go to learn it. ACCA still keeps it entry requirement standard with 3 GCSE and 2 A-Level. If you do not have these you can begin ACCA with the Foundations in Accountancy and once successfully completed them you will be transferred to ACCA as a Skill Level Student.
ACCA has only 3 levels to complete and CIMA has 5 levels. Bear in mind taking 5 or 9 exams? ACCA seems perfect and you can complete in short time.

Now the best new update about ACCA is that they are going to hold 4 exam sessions per year instead of 2. This is only for Fundamental ACCA Papers not for Professional Level Papers. You can sit 4 exams either paper or computer based each exam session if you are well prepared to sit for the exam. So, what I am upto say is that you can complete ACCA 5 papers you mentioned within 1 year if they are the F Level Papers. CIMA takes you too long.
This is a truth I would like to share with all of you.
