Do you type up your notes or write them by hand? How many hours a day do you revise?
I don't revise every day, only in the 1 1/2 month run up to the exams.
I consolidate all my notes, highlight the key points and then rewrite them. I then highlight those (highlighting key words) and test my self. I test by using past papers and seeing if I can answer the questions, I make plans mainly and occasionally write but that's a waste of time for me.
When I'm revising, 4 hours a day in the evening if I have no other work and lectures in the day, otherwise 40 minutes of every hour. Plus food, tv and loo breaks.
On the honour roll too so it seems to be working out pretty well!
I write in my own words using various academic sources from the internet (NOT wikipedia), and then I will type them up in a way that I will understand. I learn more through spider diagrams and bullet points with italic and bold writing but everyone has different techniques in their learning style. Same goes for reading academic books - I will read, reread then write down what it is in my own words unless I am referring to them directly. I revise maybe a few hours a week Posted from TSR Mobile
