Personal Statement and application issue due to previous course

Hi I'm currently in my second year of Graphics at a different uni, but due to extreme personal issues I will be dropping out. I would like to study Film, TV, and Radio at Canterbury. I wanted to know if I should mention this course in my personal statement, and how this will affect me in getting on the course?
