economics vs business studies

what are the differences between economics and business and which is better
at GCSE or A level? Economics at A level is a lot more broad than business as it looks at the wider economy and how markets are affected by changes in demand/supply/inflation/currency etc. I don't do business but I believe it focuses on individual firms and how they are affected by internal/external factors and methods to improve profit etc. I do economics and really enjoy it, I kind of find it (micro in particular) as like a wider, mathier version of business

The answer to this question would be different for everyone. Academically, Economics is regarded as a 'better' subject than Business Studies. This being because Business is seen by some universities as soft.
