M1 (MATHS - MECHANICS): What's the difference between Statics and Dynamics?

Hello,

I'm currently trying to teach M1 myself for Further Maths A-Level, and I was just wondering if there's any difference between the topic Statics and Dynamics? Because they seem really similar to me so far and I'm scared of confusing them. Thank you
Statics is when they don't move, Dynamics is when they do? I think....

Is that literally the only difference between them or?

well kinematics will take into account acceleration and friction and other things (if a particle is on an elevatted plane)

Oh okay! Why are diagrams in kinematics drawn as boxes yet in statics they are drawns as a particle (dot)?

it's not really a rule, just draw whatever you want!
statics means something at rest while dynamic means something is at motion

Oh cool, because I prefer using a particle! Thank you for you help

Particles look nicer in my opinion  No problem!
