So top private schools think only Oxbridge is good enough or else they study abroad?

So top private school kids think only Oxbridge is good enough or else they study abroad? Even Bristol and Durham get overlooked?

Appears to say that most UK applicants to prestigious US universities are 'oxbridge rejects' from wealthy, private educated backgrounds... not that most oxbridge rejects from wealthy, private educated backgrounds will apply to prestigious US universities.

Doesn't really seem to say whether it's the applicants pushing for it and the rich parents just willing to write the cheques or the parents pushing for it and the applicants going along with their parents' plan.
I'm shocked that an Oxbridge reject could even get into Harvard.
NB it's also a bit old, 2009 was back in the era of the £3000 fees which might cause differences to the pattern found today.
