I think it really depends on what suits an individual. Where as one type of hairstyle suits one person, it might not suit another person..so I can't really say because it really depends what looks good on a person

depends on the head shape/hairline
for example, I (a guy) have a fairly round face and my hairline looks like it's receding (although it's not)
so I have a fringe to cover my hair line (it swoops right across) and I try to make my hair look "taller" (or poofier) to make my face look less round
I'm not the sexiest guy on earth but I think I look best like it

the same goes for girls I suppose with the head shape stuff or the shape of the forehead
if a girl has a "tall" forehead, a good fringe is probably the best way to cover it, and so on
