Anyone hear about the new porn bans?
UK produced pornography has been "quietly censored today" with the following now being illegal to depict in UK produced pornography: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/a-long-list-of-sex-acts-just-got-banned-in-uk-porn-9897174.html

Caning
Aggressive whipping
Penetration by any object "associated with violence"
Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of if consensual)
Urolagnia (known as "water sports")
Female ejaculation
Strangulation
Facesitting
Fisting
The final three listed fall under acts the BBFC views as potentially "life-endangering".
Whilst I find the entire thing ridiculous in of itself the one that REALLY pisses me off is the banning of female ejaculation in porn. Now it personally doesn't float my boat and what have you but I don't see how in any way it can be not seen as sexist to ban female ejaculation but not male ejaculation?
Though they shouldn't be banning any of it. Bloody ridiculous.

But that's hardly the point, the point is that they are deciding what is and what isn't acceptable in terms of sex. No one can censor people's sexuality and fetishes. It's the principle of it.
Unless it is something that is literally illegal (e.g. snuff films), I don't think there should be any censorship at all.

Completely agree.
Well that's just daft and damaging.
It's okay to say that it doesn't matter because US films exist but it will have an impact on home grown films in terms of investment but also through educating the people watching these films that things such as female ejaculation are immoral and shouldn't be out in the open.
It reads like a ban on queer bdsm :/
