If you work hard you can do it... What did you get in GCSEs? Will you be able to get back into maths if you put in the effort?
You'll be veryhappy that you did maths for most BSc Econ courses, especially for the top 5-10 unis. The jump from 1st to 2nd year can also be very large for some unis (in terms of how much mathematics is used). You might get past 1st year but in the 2nd-3rd years you'll be expected to understand the maths, you'll be deriving formulae/theories/models, so you do need to be (or at least work to be) comfortable with it.
Personally I think I would have hated my first year if I hadn't done A level maths tbh. We had Mathematics 1 as a compulsory unit in our course. It was an optional unit for politics & econ students, and I know some of those students did struggle a little bit to keep up.
You could always do a joint course eg. politics and economics or BA (which tend to be less mathsy) and see your options from there, if you're worried about pure Econ.
You can also take up C1 and S1 in your own time. It will be really helpful and it will show your dedication.
