Yes. I would consider myself a feminist if it wasn't called something which sounds so against what it actually is (if that makes sense). I prefer to call myself a supporter of gender equality. To me, a "feminist" is someone like a radfem and supports female supremacy rather than gender equality.



^ This is pretty much how I feel, though for the record whenever I express that to a 'feminist' I get told I'm just an ignorant male. Which funnily enough proves it to be true.

You need to pick up a dictionary because you're using words you don't understand.
Maybe The feminists that are for equality should approach the problem under a new name. separate yourself from the feminists that believe that women are Superior. and I wouldn't call it something that is associated with a gender either.
People that believe in any sort of gender superiority are ignored by most anyway XD

No one ever said that men have perfect lives, but there are some problems that pretty much just impact women and it's a positive thing to try to help ameliorate those problems, even if they are ones that do not impact your own life, just like there are problems that pretty much just impact gay people or racial minorities. No one says that black people should include white people when they talk about issues of racism, or gay people should include straight people when they talk about homophobia.

Women do do fairly well in the West, but it is obviously always a good thing to get rape statistics down, fight child sex trafficking, and the like, in addition to trying to improve daily lived experience for women and support equality in the professional sphere. Outside of the West, women have it much, much harder and, if that's where you feel attention should focus, then do something about women's issues there -- Give money to a charity that supports girls' education in poor parts of Africa, volunteer to teach there, or whatever you can think of to help. No point in just complaining. Action is where it's at.

Feminism, as it actually is, not as it purports to be or how we might want it to be, promotes a direct attack of the rights and civil liberties of men, boys, and even women too.

When one is informed of this fact and has both the intellect, and the inclination (several intelligent people are still feminists; it just goes to show rational people can hold irrational beliefs) to form an anti-feminist opinion, it is hard for a rhetoric directly attacking that person to be persuasive to that person.
