How's your Christmas Eve going?

I'm taking the day off uni work as it's taking up far too much time.

Been to see family, panto, watching TV now after a fair amount of food.

Favourite moment of the night is my mum trying to find me vegetarian food in the supermarket, "I quite like those Paul McCartney sausages, you know." - no, I was blissfully unaware of his second career as a butcher.

What you studying?

Haha #VegetarianStruggles

I thought so! I have quite a few polish friends  I myself am Lithuanian/Russian but we don't celebrate it the day before :frown:

Get anything nice?

Lithuanians do celebrate Christmas Eve! :colone:

Computer science, and doing everything in my power to dispel the myths that we all just live in blacked-out bedrooms with neon computers tapping away on black and green screens! How about yourself?

Other #VegetarianStruggles, all from my mum, include:

Do you eat eggs?

I've got some cheese and onion crisps - I checked the packet and it said they were suitable for vegetarians.

Will you eat any of the sausage rolls if I make them?

Darn  why must you break the stereotype?!

I've applied for uni as I'm in year 13, planning on doing Film production.

Your mum sounds.. AMAZING!
Is she blonde by any chance?

But the bigger question is.. Will you eat her homemade sausage rolls? :colone:
I'm sitting watching endless episodes of Supernatural

It's so so so fun

I'll probably be doing the same tomorrow

Just as fun

That's for orthodox Russians  my mum is catholic so we celebrate 25th but me and my stepdad are orthodox so we don't celebrate on the 7th of January much :frown: plus my stepdad usually goes to Ukraine to celebrate with his parents

Because it's a stereotype I don't live up to and I feel for all the other computer scientists out there suffering their same negative perception of lies :p:

Oooh that's exciting!! Where have you applied?

She's not blonde, just doesn't understand the veggie thing

The sausage rolls aren't even homemade - they're cooked from frozen. There is a packet of Jus-Rol on the side, but that's for making blue Stilton puffs :colone:

Aww and you are breaking free!

I've applied to: Brighton, Greenwich, UCA Farnham, Wolverhampton and Ravensbourne.

But I'm hoping to go to Ravensbourne. Where you studying at?

Bless mummy, secretly she's fed you so much meat you don't even know about it

What made you become a veggie if you don't mind me asking?

Hey, no cheese

Me? Not so much. I've spent the evening helping prepare food for tomorrow unless you want to call that celebrating

Staying down south seems to be the trend then? Ravensbourne's really good for that I thought?

I'm at Nottingham, and enjoying being in a city instead of a small town in Wales for a change.

It's possible that she will at some point not realise there is meat in something and serve it up anyway!

I don't think it's necessary to eat meat / kill animals. Although I'm not someone who preaches it to the masses or goes on about it all the time - just finding my home conversations about it rather amusing :p:

Why no cheese?! I love cheese!!
