What's your question? Are they necessary? In which case I'd say not 100% necessary, but it's a good idea to take them as engg. will probably have them included in the degree somewhere. Also with mechanics I've found that after you get into the 'mechanics mindset' the questions aren't too bad. It's just a question of if you can get into that mindset or not.

In terms of mechanics you can just do M1 and M2. That will be enough. The main important ones are C1-C4 and FP1 and FP2. No need to do loads of extra modules.

you are starting the year very angry ,,, not good

I said top engineering course at top universities.

I did not said "Siberian Beaver Engineering Studies" at Middlesex University.

If you go to university to do engineering, say mechanical, let us say at Imperial, I hope you remember this conversation.

Happy New Year

Firstly of all you appear very agitated
Secondly you cannot speak or use the English Language very well
Thirdly with C1 and C2 you will be going to Oxford local college to do automobile engineering.

I am still wishing you good luck and a happy new Year!
You are a very entertaining boy/girl and I am so glad I replied!
Ermmm.... I've been accepted for engineering courses with just M1.....

I'm agitated because of your stupid reply.
I didn't 'say' anything, I typed.
Also you can't use the English Language properly.

Well I'd say if you took M1 & M2 & M3 and couldn't do well in those you have not a lot of hope in an engineering course at a top uni. I say take as many mechanics modules as you can because they can only be beneficial for a mechanics-based degree.

Clearly as a teenager you will like to have the last word, so I promise I will not be replying to you after this.

You asked a question, and I gave an answer ...
I did not replyby effing and blinding ...

If you disagreed just ignore.

I wish you good luck.

But who has time for that?
People get into Engineering course with only maths?
You don't want to be stressing yourself, most you'd learn with you get to Uni
I applied to many of the top Universities with a BTEC level 3 extended diploma alone. I did AS and A2 in the second year of the BTEC course. I wasn't sure what grade I was capable of so i didn't include it in my application.

So top universities. Bristol, Bath, Sheffield.....nope. You don't need all these modules.

You will not get in with straight Maths to top universities.

Minimum is further AS which must include M2 and M3.

My advice was so a student gets in the comfort zone when you go to University.

At university the teaching is non existent and this makes no sense to most students until they get there.

Student last year went to Cambridge
He did 16 modules only able to cash 15

Current Student (applied to Cambridge, UCL, Southampton, Bristol, Bath)
doing 9 modules.

PS
Top university is again very personal opinion
Is Sheffield a top University? (example)
Not in my opinion but it may be for the majority.
