men have an entitlement complex to.women, sex, power and status, discuss.

Also discuss: modern young women hold no entitlement complex to high status men

Someone has already called me out for muh generalisations I see.

Edit:'In general, the entitlement complex is more prominent in attractive women than in attractive men, or indeed the majority of men, due to residual principles of chivalry such as 'the chase', manifest destiny vs self-determination, and Disney princess syndrome. The consequence of chivalry is that it is more socially acceptable for women to act entitled than men'

Adding a quote on page 2 that most people will tl;dr but is the backbone of my argument

you misunderstand. An entitlement complex is the obstinate belief that you deserve something by virtue of your rank, birthright, status, gender etc. So in this case the notion that men believe they deserve something from women and society because they have a penis.

I would argue that certain stuck-up attractive young people hold this, of both genders, although it's more prominent among young attractive women (see 'let me take a selfie') because of the way Western society puts them and sex on a pedestal. They grow up with what is elsewhere referred to as 'princess syndrome', the belief their life should be as easy as a Disney princess, they should never have to lift a finger to work a day in their life and they deserve no less than their very own customised Prince Charming. Absolutely idiotic pop-culture like Jersey Shore, Keeping up with the Kardashians, TOWIE and most of the UK Top 40 contribute to the princess syndrome. Of course this has existed since at least the early 20th century in what were then just thought of as spoiled brats after Hollywood dominated the world with its materialist ethos, but in the late 20th and 21st century has been exceedingly sexualised for the young market.

The reason for why young women develop it? Because even attractive men are still socialised to believe that their status and success in life is created by their own blood sweat and tears; with some exceptions of the now mostly deceased aristocracy

Where feminism in its truly egalitarian form to be successful, then we'd be left with the vast majority of women paving their own way and earning their own success in life, leaving the lazy and entitled girls behind them. But as long as we let the rules of chivalry dominate, the princess syndrome will remain for many

Where is this coming from?
I don't agree that men have an entitlement complex.
No?
No. Why should having a penis entitle you to more?

it manifests itself via self-loathing when they don't acquire such things because they believe they're owed it by their very existence

Massive generalisation of epic proportions.

Put 50% of the human race under one label and go crazy with it.

Incredibly fallacious, astoundingly naive and impressively clueless.

The media plays society like the Pied Piper, give people something to chew on every few years and let them go crazy with it.

There is good and bad in the world, to suggest a whole gender is inherently one thing or another is absolute madness.
I think some people have an entitlement complex to anything they want. Men and women.

Generally speaking, men make more rational decisions than women.

Yep, exactly. I have no doubt that some men have an entitlement problem and that some women deliberately seek out men with power and status, but I've personally only known one man sort of like that, and he was hung up on some really bad sci-fi novel series about men being masters and women being slaves. When someone can quote books like that as if they're a religious text you know there's something wrong with them... Everyone else I know and have known is just normal.
It's called the patriarchy.
I've seen more girls who feel entitled to treat other people like **** than men.

But I wouldn't go around whining that all Women have an entitlement complex.
It's just plain stupid.

spoke to a user whose name I won't mention out of respect who said they hold guarded animosity to men because of their entitlement complex
Some men do, some men don't. If they do it's probably because their parents told them they deserve everything they could ever want and more, and didn't raise them nicely. So it's almost not their fault.
