Rammstein - Seeman

Komm in mein Boot,
Ein Sturm kommt auf,
und es wird Nacht

Komm in mein Boot,
so ganz allein,
Treibst Du Davon

Wer halt deine hand,
Wenn Ich Dich nach Unten ziet

Classic sorrow.
Clapton's Tears In Heaven is the saddest song that is also very well known that I can think of.

I'm very surprised he performed it when I saw him. The lyrics are so personal to him that I wouldn't have expected it.
listen to Eva Cassidy's cover of Over the Rainbow and imagine it's an extended metaphor for your dad dying of cancer.
