Not really an excuse, but I mention it to make myself feel better  Year 11 and self taught completely.

C1: 96
C2: 85
C3: 83
C4: 93
M1: 85
S1: 95

Then something clicked...

Year 12:
C3: 100 (resit)

Hopefully get 100s in the modules this year, or above 95 minimum

C1 is everyone's first exposure to A Level Maths, for some it may take awhile to get to grips with, hence a lot of people may not do as well as they could in January C1 and go on to do a lot better resitting in the summer. After doing C1 for half a year, C2 is easier to get into the swing of, since difficulty wise they're pretty much on par but you get the luxury of a calculator for C2.

Economics.

Yh I know but my point is transition from C1 to C2 is easier than GCSE to C1 for most.

You guys seem to do better if you self-teach (and do it before year 12 lol)

I'm a bit more normal and don't do further, year 13 now. Last year I got:

S1 - 94
C1 - 95
C2 - 99

(thx to everyone who complained about the C2 exam, grade boundaries went down )
