But Yuki, I want to be in the same hall as you so I can say oyasumi every night to you!

Honestly, our respective captains are going to be raging so hard at us when we're there trying to do formless shots :colondollar:

No we must go to different halls not only to determine who is the best between us but also to show that no-one is our equal:tongue:

Lol if we end up as flatmates I'm definitely getting some extra door locks just in case.

m8, the only one who can beat me is me

Related to Bath though, I've been speaking to someone who's at Bath for ChemEng and she graduated from our school last year. She said she's finding it easy  and she's loving it!

Also, I spoke to some people from Bath and they said don't bother choosing accommodation based on proximity to faculty as not all of your lectures etc will be there... Have you thought about accommodation yet? Have you had your offer holder day thing yet? I've yet to hear about an offer holder day :emo:

Might go for Osborne House just for the cheap ensuite. Actually it's the designated quiet residence so **** that:lol:(Not that I'm noisy but that just sounds boring). Which one were you thinking about again?

Lol it will certainly be easier than going to Camb. I didn't go to the offer holders day which I regret.

Not sure now, but definitely going to try for an ensuite (trust me you want an ensuite). I'll need to see which ones my friends are going for too  have they not got any more offer holder days?

Yeah I want an en suite definitely.

There's only 3 en suite ones (discounting the catering credit included ones). One's a quiet residence which definitely wouldn't suit a guitar(had serious difficulties remembering how to spell this for some reason:lol:) player.

Marlborough and Solsbury Court is probably the best option for me.

I think I might go for non catered to give myself the challenge of cooking

Solsbury seems quite nice. I can't find that huge PDF with what accommodation blocks give you what, but honestly, if it has an en suite it's probably good enough for me

I can always play using my headphones too, but otherwise, I will be giving the people the pleasure of listening to guitar solos by John Petrucci. Albeit very bad covers :colondollar:

edit: found the PDF, looking through it now

Same plus Solsbury is close to my department anyway (but ****ing miles from yours:tongue:).

I had to share a bathroom when I went for my interview and it just felt so weird knowing these other people were using my bathroom:lol:, I got up at 5 just to make sure I was the first to use the shower.

Don't really mind the long walk  the current students said that you only really go to your department for lab sessions though. Need to check the proximity to where the anime society resides too :ninja:

edit: near the ChemEng department

But yeah, I'll check where my other friends are applying for first

http://www.bath.ac.uk/study/pdf/Facilities-at-a-glance-Undergraduate-14-15.pdf

Looked at all the societies etc. that I will want to join, here we go:

Music Society
Chemical Engineering Student Association
Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Anime Society
Chinese Society - also near the ChemEng department
Japanese Society
(Thai Society)
Bath University Curry Appreciation Society
The Video Game Society
(Poker Society)

I find it funny how there's a society called 'Russian Speaking Society', maybe I could join that one too

I'm not going to have enough time for all of those though :frown:

I always worry about time at uni :frown:
Like I will have 40 hrs/week contact time
Am expecting to do 25-30hrs work
Sleep maybe 56 hours max
That leaves me with 42 hours to: game, sing, read, go out/drink, start ballet and tap again, talk to family members

Hmmmm... I'm thinking sleep is less important

Not actually sure how easy/hard I'll find the work, but I'm quite good with time management, there'll definitely be plenty of time for those things in first year (unless you're a first year NatSci )

That's a lot of societies:lol:

I just looked through all the societies and none of them massively interest me tbh but I'll probably join a few.

I'm hoping I can just be a slacker and fluke a 2:1

Which ones are you thinking of? Apart from the obvious one, of course

I think my first priority will be to be on track for a 1sts, and then any excess time I have can be spent chilling

Maybe not even the obvious one:eek:. I duuno I just prefer watching alone so seems pointless lol.

I'll join the department one. None of the faith/cultural ones really apply to me, nor the arts ones. Maybe Poker Soc but I've never played it so I'll get owned by pros. I can tell Video Game Soc will be full of #pcmasterrace and it's not a place for a casual like me:lol:.

I don't know.. I've never had to work hard before but uni will be different. Then again I can't know how much work I'll have to do until I'm there.

I think there's a Mech Eng student blogging on the uni's blog, might be worth checking out, and you're clever so you'll be fine

I am shocked. Gomenasai, boku no okasan says we can't be tomodachi anymore :frown: lol jks, I'm joining so I can meet other weirdos and have our inside jokes that no one else will get

Poker is basically about calculating the chances the other players have a better hand than you. It's not always based on luck because you always see the same players at the end. Also, it's not a casino so the odds aren't against you

Hmm, there was a video for the VGS and it does seem like that sort of place. A lot of them play LoL and apparently they actually stream an inter uni LoL league
