Hello! what course have you gone for at Churchill!?

Computer Science with Maths. I think you said hello to me in the decisions thread as well. Ahh I really want to get in now, gonna work so hard for this. Has it sunk in for you yet? Every time I think about it I just involuntarily start grinning then laugh at the crazy situation!

Wow... I'm always amazed at people who go in for Computer Science, it seems like such a tough course. Congrats on getting your offer!
I've just realised that I really, really can't screw this up. No social life for me until June 18th!

I would've regretted doing any other course (except maybe maths, so CS with maths is amazing for me). Thanks you too!
I was silly in that I chose compsci with maths only at Cambridge who already give harder offers out...ah well. What course are you doing?

Well, you got the offer, so not too silly... I'm going to be doing Engineering, which I'm really looking forward to. The course is so much wider at Cambridge than anywhere else, so I can choose to specialise in a year or two rather than now, which is good for me.

Probably rant about the economic and political crisis or something... Which I know nothing about
College: Emmanuel
Course: Economics
Condition: A*AA in any order

Really pleased with my conditions!

Ah nice! I was *this* close to choosing engineering just because I loved the general start. But you can't really pick CS modules from it, so I picked CS in the end. I've still got to meet the offer yet (A*A*A*A 1/2 in STEP II/III isn't easy for anyone, especially not me!) I hope to meet you there

Necrosyrtes and NightStrider both Engineering at Pembroke A*A*A. I thought it was the most successful course on TSR until I saw the St John's economists. :frown:

For those that did it: what was the TSA like? Did you think you'd done well on it? I had a churchill maths aptitude test but couldn't figure out if I did well on it or not.

Definitely!

That is tough (mine is *only* A*A*A), but I wish you the best of luck! They wouldn't have offered it if they didn't think you were capable.

I sure hope so! Though I'd disagree with you about the STEP requirement as they give a lot of offers to mathmos and differentiate with their STEP grades so loads don't get in. I can definitely get the A levels if I work hard enough, and effectively we've got the same offer (got the A* in maths last year) to meet for it. Best of luck to you too!

It still feels a little bit like I got in accidentally or was like the worst candidate to get in...but then I think I got an offer from my first choice without pooling...Still can't understand why they chose me over someone with superior UMS grades really, but I'm delighted they did!

Started over Christmas because I needed it for Imperial (why the hell they gave me a STEP offer for pure CS only god knows). It's actually been sorta OK so far. How much FM do I need to know to do well in STEP III or are there some questions I can do without it? You're a pure mathmo aren't you?

Who can fathom the ways of Cambridge admissions tutors?

The fact is they gave you an offer, so obviously felt you were worth teaching. Knowing that is a good feeling to hold on to!!

Going for interview I was actually kind of surprised I wasn't surrounded by piles of incomprehensible geniuses in hall. I imagined, given all the hype about Oxbridge, that everyone there would be straight A* intellectuals. But then nearly everyone was nice, decently but not scarily clever people, who I could talk to without feeling cowed. Which was a nice feeling
