no idea how to go about the question
logbase2(6-y)=3-logbase2y

also need help with - given that y=logbase2x, find expressions for 1) logbase2(x/2) and 2) logbase2(square root of x)

Collect the log parts into a single log

Then raise both sides to the power of 2

You seem to be a maths teacher please help with this question.. Find the least number of terms of the series 1 +3+5+7... that are required to make a sum exceeding 4000.

This is an arithmetic series with first term a = 1 and common difference d = 2. You know a formula for the sum of n terms. Set this > 4000 and solve. In future please don't hijack threads - start your own.
