We started with football and it somehow turned to religion. . He told me about how he used to be a christian and how he came to be an atheist. He highlighted things he disliked about going to church etc... Talked slightly about salat etc... It was oright, no ray guns were fired :h:

Lol, that's a relief.

Shalom my Muslim friends!! :h:

Anyone know of an app or two to study Islam? I'm a visual learner and learn by doing also and from the suggestions I got in a previous thread, I have made not much progress and I feel I need to know more about Islam for reasons I don't wish to go into.

So any iPhone apps for Islamic study, who knows, I may become a fully fledged Sunni Muslim :colone:

Peace,

Not sure if this is the app you're looking for but it's called "Know Islam Learn Quran" and seems to have good reviews.

I like the sound of elves making cookies :frown: Maybe we should take this to the Sharia Court and demand more rights for Hijabis :huff:
Allah has praised those who respond to evil with good deeds. Those who repel evil with good will find that their enemies will become their friends.

"And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.

But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good]."
Surah Fussilat 41:34-35

What was he discussing?

Spoiler

He was talking about growing up in luton and how extremists had slowly started changing the city. Also how the EDL formed

He raised a few points about how the police refused to take any action when grooming was reported by young women.

It was really more of a detailed description of his life from a child to where he is now and all the controversies he has been involved in.

To be fair it was quite interesting because it allows you to try and understand his feelings and how all of this started in the first place.

Al Quran: "And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds."

Al Quran: "Lo! Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation."

Al Quran: "Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."

Al Quran: "And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are on an exalted standard of character."
