How has no one said "say something" by a great big world yet?

quoting you two to say i love those two songs.

my pick is All Too Well by Taylor Swift "
Hey, you call me up again just to break me like a promise.
So casually cruel in the name of being honest.
I'm a crumpled up piece of paper lying here
'Cause I remember it all, all, all... too well."

Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" would be my answer.
I Know Its Over by The Smiths though I find Jeff Buckley's cover to be a lot more emotional.

Isn't that song about a stalker?

Yes it is.

It was played at my Granddad's funeral. The last time I heard part of it, I was almost in tears and so glad to get out of the car.:frown:

All I Want - Kodaline
How to Save A Life - The Fray

Funny how most of these are just throwaway pop songs.

The Smiths - How Soon is Now
Old Grey - My Life With You, My Life Without You
Even though it's instrumental there's something about it. Great band.
Northern Downpour by Panic! At The Disco
What a Catch, Donnie by Fall Out Boy
Therapy by All Time Low
Fix You by Coldplay

Not gonna lie when I say those 4 songs made me tear up a bit when I first listened to them - kinda weird but

(special mentions to Adam's Song and Stay Together for the Kids by blink-182)
100% this. Wells me up every time my SO leaves for a while

This. Better than the NIN version I reckon. Watching the music video with the song is guaranteed to give you goosebumps >.<
Athlete - Wires
Sigur Ros - Njosnavelin (Untitled no. 1)
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
Gary Jules - Mad World
Oasis - Stop Crying Your Heart Out
Bullet For My Valentine - Hearts Burst Into Fire
Ne-Yo - Because of You
Almost Lover - A Fine Frenzy. It was my breakup song. :P

Forgot about that one. It came out when I was still in primary school and I remember hearing it a lot back then. So for me there's the nostalgia element to it, as well as the music and lyrics.

mmm, its one of my favourite Coldplay numbers

Loving the parachutes avatar!
Other Coldplay numbers I'd say would be In My Place, Warning Sign, Yellow and Talk. For Keane, I would go for Sea Fog, Crystal Ball, Watch How you Go and Love is the End
