Someone please explain to me why the probability is 0.5????
isnt it 4/5???

H0: p=0.5 there is no preference between margarine and butter (equally preferred)
H1: p>0.5 there is preference for margarine

Let X be the number of people in a sample of 5 who prefer margarine
Binomial model X ~B(5,0.5)

P(X>=4) = ...


I can see why this question is confusing.

Yeah thank you, but how would you know this, because all binomial has two outcomes, so it cant always be 0.5?
