Is gumtree harder to sell on than ebay/amazon?

Is it harder to sell used stuff on gumtree?

Would I be charged a seller fee on a DVD, for example?

I want to sell my old powerisers. What should I charge on gumtree? Here they are:

No, you get all of the money.

They are three very different markets:

ebay - 'does anyone want this now?'

Amazon - 'does anyone want this, even though its price is different to everyone else's?'

Gumtree - 'does anyone local want this, probably just to pick up rather than have it posted to you?'

They're all good for different things.

No seller fee in my experience. Just costs you more if you want your ads to be more visible. Never try to sell on ebay and elsewhere simultaneously.

This is item for ebay - you will get people from across the country interested and the price question will sort itself out via the auction process.

(Oh, and get some better photos of them.)

How would the selling price/speed compare from eBay to gumtree?

I wanted to sell a bike on it. I'd have got more from gumtree than on ebay after costs.

It's very difficult to send bikes via a courier - unless it's seriously specialist, they're 'for local people only' so Gumtree is great for them.

These can be sent anywhere...

OP: How urgently do you need the money?

Very urgently
You'll get less money for them, but if we're talking about "today or tomorrow" rather than "the end of next week", Gumtree is the way to go.

First: get some better photos - in focus, and taken with a camera rather than a phone - including ones of them in action!

Second: find a good review of them and link to that.

Third: think of a price. Look on ebay and see what they have been going for (you're interested in the completed items, i.e. what stuff has actually been sold - or not - for). Price below that.
