multiplying complex numbers

Hi

I have a question that gives 2 complex numbers, Z1 and Z2, and then asks for:

Does this mean Z2 multiplied by Z1? I thought it meant divided by but the answers suggests multiplied?

Many thanks.

From what you've posted, I say it's z1 squared.
It means z1 multiplied by itself, ie squared.

Ah yeah could be - because the 2 is exactly the same size as the 1 and directly over it and because the gave Z1 and Z2 I thought it was some notation I didn't know.
