I wouldn't say I am racist at all.
I don't understand why people on this thread are saying everybody is racist in some way? Just because somebody has a different skin colour it doesn't mean they are any different to you.
No, but I think it is human nature to be prejudice of people of a different race.

I believe that all humans are equal and no matter what race you are you should not be discriminated. However, despite my best efforts, I have found myself to stereotype people unknowingly! For example I presumed someone did not drink alcohol because of her race.

All forms of racism should not be accepted though. People should not be disadvantaged from jobs because of their race for example

Come again? Remind what the subject of this thread is again...

Many people will find you things you do or say related to your religion offensive, are you going to stop doing or saying them all? Don't be ridiculous.

A. You don't speak for every Muslim who exists or has ever existed. B. I say "praise Jesus" (very infrequently) and I'm not a Christian. That is fine. I can say "Alluh Akbar" or similar if I want to (and probably have in the past). That is also fine. Stop telling people what they can and cannot say just because you don't like it. Get over yourself.

What is your obsession with 'white people' here? Seriously, the subject of this thread is 'Are you racist?'... :s-smilie:

That aside, so what if 'they' know someone is going to find it offensive? Offense is taken, not given. Why is mocking religions wrong? Just because you don't like something or don't think something is appropriate, does not mean nobody should be allowed to do it.

If someone is offended by people covering up, there's a good chance they'll find the belief that you have to cover up to be offensive too. So moot point.

Oh I see; you get to decide what's offensive to all Muslims and you get to decide what beliefs held or actions carried out by Muslims other people can take offense to (or else decide their reasons for doing so).

You have a very skewed (though unfortunately all too common), and frankly self-centred, view of religion and offense.

Your overall view is that the person who's offended is to blame rather than the person doing the offending.

I don't know how you can't see the problems with that argument.
I'm not racist. I feel that there is no reason for me to be racist, those that are, are stupid.. We all share the same anatomy, genetic make up, we're all the same. Sh*t eat sleep.
I do believe that Chinese people can't drive because that's obvious and I've seen it with my own eyes.
No.
no i hate you all equaly

No, my 'view' is that there's no such thing as 'doing the offending'. There is only 'someone taking offense at what someone else has done'. Why? Because what some will take offense at, others won't. That says nothing about how moral people's individual actions are, mind.

I am not racist.

However I say things that could be deemed racist.
As mentioned earlier, everyone's a little bit racist from time to time, and I'm no exception.

Do I hate and discriminate people based on their race? No, my friends and I look like a politically correct textbook cover.

Do I sometimes think about how accurate some stereotypes for various people might be. Of course, but at the end of the day I'm not hurting anyone, so it's all good.

Humans have a genetic pre-disposition to fear or be wary of things that are different to they are. That isn't just to do with race, but with pretty much any thing that makes people different.

That is why, over the course of history it has been so easy for politics leaders to exploit 'the Other' for their own gain.

Be it black people, Jews, Communists, the 1%, whatever, once you come up with a symbol to be blamed, for people to project their problems upon it becomes very very easy to get them to do what you want.

That is why racism and other prejudices require everyone to be consistently vigilant, even when it looks like nothing is wrong.
Everyone id racist to some degree and there is ample research to prove it. However, why is that a problem? If isn't in my opinion unless those beliefs and thoughts on a subconcious level are then used to intentionally hurt people on a verbal or physical level. I've read more than enough research on this to know its the case.
I'd say a tad, but not openly. Thoughts do enter my head when I see certain people walk down the street. I'm not gonna deny it; its not good but I can't stop them. They're thoughts.

i love it when people think they're above others. It's so funny. Like watching a mouse try to bully you.

ahhhhhhhhhhh! Racist!

I say 'Allah Akbar' (and sometimes "Takbir" before it) whenever I throw something into the bin in lessons. A Muslim classmate said that's racist, and a member of my form said that if anyone not from this school heard me saying that, they'd tell me to go to the mental hospital. But surely that's no worse than people saying "Jesus Christ' when they're annoyed?

I also make jokes about Islam all the time. especially about the punishments such as stoning prescribed by Shariah Law (which I find highly amusing).

So I would say 'yes'..

You sir are funny. 😁 brilliant

yes I find myself crossing the street when I see a white person.
I'm White and care about my people, therefore I am racist by society's double standards.

It is expected of you to care for other people within your ethnic group, but do you treat people belonging in other ethnic groups equally? You don't have to love every single person, (it is impossible) but do you treat them like you treat the members of your ethnic group?

You'll learn when you're a bit older.

Great way to win people over to your side. Patronise them.

Neither islam nor the Arabic language is a race.

Yeah, but both are racialised to an extent, aren't they? Like, the country that's got the most Muslims in it is Indonesia, yet most anti-Islam crap is usually thrown at Arab-looking people.
