UCL reply late anyways..😩
I know, being a top university they have the choice of thousands, however this is still inconvenient for myself - as with 4 offers on the table from comparable Unis it's decision time very soon, and I really need a response, to move on with student finance etc
Whats your predicted grades and that?
My teacher has given me a majority of distinctions on my access course, having told me it would be impossible for him to give them all and it was down to me to prove myself, which is fair, I chose the IMB for it's diversity and breadth of modules, I already possess professional qualifications in IT and some experience in a previous role - all mentioned on the ps yet to no avail so far. Tbh the longer UCL take with a reply the more likely I'll be firming some place like kings or goldsmiths who have a unrivalled 1.3million pound bursary scheme for their students this year. Anyway enough about me, I need some information from all you on here ! So similar questions, predicted grades ? Access course ? Where else have you applied? Inbox me if you feel some info is too private to be shared on post.
Woah, those are amazing grades, and since you applied in October I'm thinking this is one you really want, basically check out goldsmiths bursary page they are offering top students grants and bursarys depending on your achievements and what degree you want to do as each department are allocated a certain amount of £. I've applied for computer science and will be going to the open day on the 28th this week, really want to soak up the atmosphere and see what they have to offer before making a final decision, may I ask where else you've applied too ?

Thank You, I dream of Going there. I understand, i'll check it out and thanks for letting me know, yeah sure my other choices are; Aston, university of birmingham and goldsmiths which I have been given offers for I've only got UCL left, which I am just praying and working hard for. Are you from london then?
Yup I'm from London only applied for Unis here, tbh I personally believe, that the UCL programme is good, but compared to other management degrees or comp sci courses you do a huge amount of different units, making you jack of all trades master of none, personally if your from Birmingham, which I'm guessing from the choices, I'd take Aston as firm, for a few simple reasons. I'm not sure about today, but 2 years ago the Aston management degree boasted a higher graduate employment rate then Oxbridge, they're business links are fantastic, and why study a watered down degree which is trying to appeal to masses, when you can specialise in just management that is unless your looking forward to the business, finance, IT, programming etc that the IMB offers. I personally feel employers will overlook me and choose those with a specialisation in a niche subject from UCL or any other top ranked uni, anyway just some food for thought.

I understand what you mean and I can see that you are a more of a precise worker and thats excellent depending on your dreams ofc.

For Me its more of a personal connection with UCL and how they can help me become Who I want and need to become rather than just what I learn or master in. It's a legacy matter. Well I was born in London but I live in Crewe, not bham though, its like 200 miles from London.

I believe that patience and grit is the key to success and thats what I'm going to do until God Wills..
Goodluck on your journey dude, You seem like you are very determined. That's a good thing.☺️
Thank you and yourself too, I hope everything goes as planned. I totally understand exactly what you mean, I have been infatuated with UCL as an institution with everything they have to offer. I do believe we will be hearing from them in the next few weeks I really do doubt any uni will wait until the last day of deadline to reply, if you
hear from UCL please just send a quick msg, I'll do so likewise good luck for the rest of your academic study and all your future ambitions, tc.
Nassim, I can see thru your comments our shared interests .
I also love entrepreneurship and management, however, I believe a degree from UCL (prestige+network) ,its IMB( in addition to management you get to know about technology) and its location (center of world's business and economy) makes it really worthwhile.

I got an offer for Management (B.Sc) at University of Manchester altho I was confused whether to choose their ITMB(which I didn't quite like it) or Management.
