By the way, it's much easier for us to help if you transcribe the problem :smile:

A maximum of cos occurs at 0, when cos=1. Cos is minimised at pi/2, when it takes the value -1. However, maxima/minima of cos correspond respectively to minima/maxima of p, because p is an expression with cos on the denominator.
