And when doing integration by parts, say if I am integrating x^2(3+2x)^2 can I make u = (3+2x)^2 and v = x^2, I know I can make it the other way around...

I tried this with the follow Q, but I didn't get the same answer. They used u = ln|secx| instead:

You cannot integrate ln so you should always differentiate the ln part in IBP
