Yes but jewish people have recieved reparations and have their own country; they're pretty much the richest ethno religious/racial group in the world. Blacks have not recieved any of the above and due to slavery, they have always been viewed as inferior to everyone else and have been placed in the worst parts of their slave countries whether that be britain or america. Furtheremore Jews could have hidden their identity, blacks could not. A jew can easily pass for a non jew, whereas a black person cannot pass as anything but black.

Jews have been oppressed for millennia....read on expulsion from europe...

And dont blacks have their own countries? most jews dint hold grudges against germans fir the holocaust, whilst most blacks claim all whites are evil because some whites enslaved theur ancestors. Sorry but blacks who cannot erase this chip off their shoulder shoukd leave the country.

Since you say that nature and animals are more important than humans if you could only save one would it be a dying fly or a human.
A dying puppy or a dying baby?

For me it's easily the human and baby. Honestly I think it's foolish to say otherwise and clearly you don't view nature and aninmals as more important to humans as you'd save your mother instead.

- we need to get the hell out of the middle east or offer a 3 state solution in Iraq and then get lost as quickly as possible

yeh ... these are just a few of my opinions ......

hahaa leave the country? Hmmm. Where would they go? I guess this is the arugment some black people are trying to make. You took them from africa, bought them here and forced them to assimilate and lose their culture and treated them like slaves. Do you think a black british man called James Brown should go back to Africa for being angered that he has lost his afircan culture due to whites? These black people today have no homeland. Jews have always been disperesed around the world and due to assimilating yet not losing their jewishness since being a jew is a religion could always keep their identity. The same cannot be said for black people.

The blog is also ran by a pro green energy bloke. The problem with Global warming is that is has been politicized. I despise the right wingers that think the whole thing is a liberal conspiracy and spitefully want to cut green energy subsidies but there is real science that does question what has become the orthodox view on climate change. This lot do largely get ignored and it is unfair to lump then in with the mindlessly anti-green crowd.

Continue development of "green" energy just seems sensible to me anyway regardless of whether we are causing global warming or not.

Without libraries a lot of old people lose their community and social life, especially in small towns and villages.

I'd agree with most of this, except

"NHS should not pay for obesity care" - it's a dangerous slippery slope to go down because you could apply that to lots of things. The NHS should be free at point of delivery for all genuine health problems. Perhaps make sure all obesity care includes help and advice for weight loss.

And I wouldn't want a tax on fast food because it punishes the responsible people who eat it occasionally and don't get fat. Unless you were to also use that to lower the cost of other foods, so that for healthy eaters the cost would balance out.

I'm slightly apprehensive about using that website given that it has an entire tab on its front page dedicated to "Climategate" which was a fabricated scandal that never happened... Another thing that worries me is that a lot of the people writing articles on this website are engineers, rather than scientists. Thanks for the link and I'll definitely have a read though.

The first article for instance, presents a flaw which is already taken into account in calculations for CO2 reconstructions. On top of that, it acts as if ice cores are our only proxy for reconstructing carbon dioxide concentrations, which it isn't.

To be honest you're looking into it rather deeply :wink: If it came to it, I probably would save a human over an animal because I am a human and my animal instinct would kick in haha. I don't have any controversial views so I posted the closest one possible! I do think nature is vastly more important than humanity as a whole though, e.g economy, expansion, technology. We should focus more on keeping the Earth nicely preserved :smile: Many apologies for not being as serious as I should have been, naughty me!
Gender roles are a good thing.

I also support Israel.
