Do graduate employers all make conditional offers? As in conditional to the class of degree you gain. Especially where the potential employer doesn't specify a specific degree class.

Then what's stopping someone from putting an exaggerated predicted degree class on their cv or application?

I was given an unconditional offer for a grad scheme but asked to submit all my grades so far from uni to prove my predicted grade wasn't unreasonable.

I was asked for my degree transcript before I was offered a contract.
