I know! One of the admissions guys sent me an email saying that:
"Once lunch is finished, all applicants are split into two groups, A (red badge) and B (blue badge). Group A will go to interviews with our academic staff, while group B will go on a tour of our facilities. Midway through the afternoon the two groups then swap over. Student ambassadors will escort applicants to and from the interviews, which will last for approximately 15 minutes. Applicants will reside in the lecture theatre when not being interviewed and have a chance to look at some of our current students’ work."
I dont know if he meant that it was going to be a group interview or not..

Obviously I don't know for certain but that doesn't sound like there will be group interviews to me. It simply means one group of people will have their interviews at time A and the other at time B (but with separate interviewers). That's what happened at Imperial and at Southampton.

eh? wait what??? now I'm worried lol

At least thats what i think it is going to be, check this out, is an email sent from someone from the department:

It might be a group interview or it may not be one, but anyway, dont be worried! If its a group one, it will be my first interview of that kind

Well as I said, I don't think they will be group interviews. If they are... I'm really not the best person to be giving you advice because I'm hardly outgoing myself! In the unlikely situation that there are group interviews (which again, I find hard to believe) then you should probably make sure you're not intimidated by others. Everyone's going to be scared, some people will be better at putting on a face of confidence than others but you're all going to be intelligent people so don't be afraid of saying what you think.

Start 11, Kanaris room in the museum
How did the interviews go guys? Hope they went well!
The inteeview wasn't a group one, and they asked only 4 questions! It was awesome, I met some funny people there. At the end, they told me that they are making a AAB offer. Plus! I got an offer from Leeds, AAB, I wasn't expecting an offer from Leeds. Wow!!

I'm still waiting for UCL and imperial but at the moment, I am happy with this
The interview was easy too. I was asked about future prospects, why Earth Sciences, and how I think geology can be applied to solve the current problems. (I adressed the record hot-temperatures of the previous year and connected survival of species based on their climates). I liked it- the Geology area is spacious and staff supportive and friendly. Unlike in UCL focus was less based on their current research, we barely managed to see the labs, but at least I've seen the undergraduate facilities, independaent study rooms, labs etc- for each module.
Leaving positive and with secure footing.
Which groups were you in? (A or B)

I was in group A, and I was the guy with jeans and a white jumper wearing glasses. I agree with you with the labs. I wish they showed us more things!
