Best Universities For Management/Business Studies?

I'm applying for just this subject (so not something like E & M at Oxford). Thoughts?

I live in London and have applied to study business management in London based universities. Best ones are royal holloway, queen Mary, Kings college London and UCL (couldn't find the course on their website but the league tables say they offer it)

London south bank is apparently one of the worst universities in the city though and near the bottom of most league tables. Middlesex university is alright though.

Best universities for Management (top-tier):
1) LSE Management
2) Warwick Intl Management or Intl Business if you're bilingual or trilingual
=3 KCL Business Managememnt
=3 UCL IT management
De Monfort
De Monfort
For Management?
LSE
Warwick
Bath/Manchester
Cass/KCL/UCL
Lancaster/QMUL

Hey, not everybody is going to agree from the 3rd row onwards, but not many will disagree with LSE and Warwick being top 2, with LSE edging Warwick only because of its name.
Other than the top 5-: Lancaster, Leeds, Durham, Exeter.

Are you referring to the top 5 universities for management and business studies or just the top 5 in UK?

You should not take league rankings as the ultimate truth as their rankings are influenced by their criteria and methodologies. However, they are reliable in the sense that those ranked highly are indeed of a very high standard. Just that their precise rank may not be so reliable and subject to change from year to year as well as between league tables. And some things may not be captured in the rankings. For example, some league tables will say Bath is tops and if you go deeper it may be clear it is because of very high student satisfaction compared to other equally or even better universities. It is good to refer to the league tables but it is also important to take into account of other factors such as reputation. For example, Warwick may not be ranked as high as some universities but general consensus is that Warwick has an excellent reputation esp with industry. That's why it is better and fairer to put them into 'groups' instead of precise ranking, for personal evaluation. Anyone agree?
In London I would say City, LSE, UCL, Kings, SOAS and London Business School.
