now

in a typical marking scheme you may get something for this attempt

Is this a straight line?

a curve (equation or some kind of descriptor?)

[this type of question is very hard and probably unlikely to come up in a standard exam these days]

look at a similar question in this actual paper

(Q8)

Thanks  it's a curve, well supposed to be! At least, that's what was drawn on in the answers! I was just trying to figure out what the 3pi/4 meant

well the actual locus is not just a curve...
it is the arc of a circle.

The reason I attached the paper was to show you what is expected in a typical exam
How many marks did you get out of the 4?

PS: If I was writing a question, I would require

the equation of the curve

a proper sketch

So this would be worth 10+ marks and your attempt will be worth ...

Here's the question. It was posted a few posts before so I assumed you'd be psychic. Umm I counted 2 marks/4

this is a question from a book ...
It just say sketch ...

well if you are satisfied with 2/4 for this type of question and the very low likelyhood of it coming up that is ok.

I would never teach students how to do this type of question unless there were mathematicians to be.
