Both my parents haven't worked since the 1980s and I've got a Cambridge offer AMA

Didn't you read to what I said? You seem to have just completely ignored what I had to say in the way of an explanation for this dramatic outburst.

Sorry its a funny story please, continue.

Then you will know that a lot of equations need to be approximated using numerical methods with things like iteration and often iteration can break down and most calculators you won't be able to do that with complex numbers coming up with math error.

Do you know of wolfram alpha?

Good for you. Maybe you've got a good home life and not many responsibilities. And maybe you had good teachers who teach the course content properly.

Hardly. A C looks a lot worse than a B. A* and A grades are both very very good. It's not exactly the same. And ABB looks a lot better than BCC. C grades just don't look good.

Perhaps that's true for some, but not all. I doubt that EVERY top law firm and academic position can only employ/ be taken up by Oxbridge students. This is exactly the kind of Oxbridge snobbery I wouldn't be able to handle.

Getting an A* is much more difficult than an A. An A does not require a huge amount of effort if you got a high A at AS, but for an A* you need to keep up that 90 UMS average in your A2 modules (with the special case of Maths). The difference between a C and B just does not compare.

Yes I know of Wolfram Alpha and used it to check what the solutions were and confirm whether it was solvable analytically.

Are you able to solve:

2x+1=52x+1=5

I hope this one isn't as difficult as the last...

Solve:

ex2=sin3x+ie^{x^2}= sin^3x + i

Wolfram alpha my friend, Wolfram alpha.

this one is easy 2x=5-1=4 x=4/2=2

Wolfram Alpha is just cheating though as it gives you the answers and you have to subscribe to see the step by step solutions and they don't even offer step by step solutions here.I use Wolfram Alpha to check out the answer to some things but you shouldn't generally use it to solve equations.

I'll keep mine short, since I feel steam rising around my head from all of your disgusting statements.

Just to put this into context for you, arts and sciences cannot be measured on the same scale, they're totally different and always will be. Therefore you have no right to call users idiots just because of their lacking in maths skills.

Also, life's too short to act like a moronic snob. I'm okay with you having opinions but I wont allow you to continue going onto forums and offending others. (I have sent a report ticket).

Last point before this turns too long. Try and socialise with different groups, it'll help you to find an understanding of different people and hopefully see the world in a different light (red gems aren't supposed to be war trophies).

I'm not sure the old 'life's too short' argument is of substance here. Life's too short for a lot of things. Also, who are you to 'allow' anyone to do anything? Haven't you heard of free speech? (Though I do think the moderators on this forum haven't).

Red gems are relics on this forum. To own one shows that you're better than everyone else. Clearly.

Cambridge didn't give you an offer. You're the biggest troll on this forum.

If they did, prove it.

Woah, controversial!
Original post by Dalek1099
This has already been explained on here that I post controversial opinions on here and often to get likes you really have to just say what people want you to say.Lots of people on here have red gems I have one of the highest amounts of red gems but others who have just as high are not trolls either just unpopular.A troll would not bother posting over 9,000 and keep up the act for over 3 years.

So in essence you're a male version of ImSoAcademic (Imso) who actually did manage to get an offer from Oxbridge. Nicely done. Many congrat's on your offer, too: Emma is a wonderful college

Which colleges did you interview with?
****ing hell stop adding to this guy's e-peen.

I interviewed with Emma and got a direct offer from them, I didn't even get pooled so they must have liked me.

You should. Philip Larkin is amazing, for instance.
