How is everyone preparing? Does anyone have access to papers before 2005?

I've also updated links to the Core 3 and Core 4 exam threads in the original post.

hey we've just started this unit in further maths AS, as we can't do D1. Wandering how everyone finds it?

Hey, I've actually started this too not long ago too aha. Are you doing M1 as well then in pure maths I take it?

I've found it okay so far. Physics AS helps a lot, and I'm hoping physics A2 also helps with angular velocities, circular motion etc.

What topics have you done so far?

Yeah we're doing M1 in Normal Maths, we've just done moments and centres of mass.

Oh right! I did M1 last year as I'm in second year, but I only do normal maths A2 aha. Oh fair enough! Manageable?

and if anybody does so could you please also move mine

Ah, alright.

How about you?

We've basically almost finished. We're on circular motion. Just about 3/4 more lessons and we would have finished the course.

Would you say that the content overlapping has helped you with M2?

I'm taking this exam. I'm also self studying M3. I don't think M2 will be very difficult as it seems a combination of common sense, differential equations and calculus and knowledge which I already have from physics (OCR A).

freeexampapers.com goes back to 2004, but I don't have access to any before that.

Oh nice! Not too sure whether an M3 thread exists yet. I hope it goes okay. I just want 90% in C3 and C4. If that happens than I can feel a lot better over it! Yeah it's good that physics overlaps and some content is similar to that already studied. What is M3 like? Aha.

I'm not taking the M3 exam, I'm just studying M3 for STEP. I already have loads of exams early to mid June, so M3 as well would be too much.

I've only been doing M3 for a week, but so far it's good. I've done relative motion and dimensional analysis so far. The collision chapters are the stuff I really need to know, but I thought I may as well do the whole module because more mechanics knowledge will always help.

Oh right. Sounds like you've got a large workload! What do you want to do at uni and where?
