According to the Durham website, the college allocations should start coming out next week! I can't wait to find out my college; I applied for St Chad's but it's really oversubscribed so if not I'm hoping for another bailey college. Which college are you all hoping for? :smile:

It's just I've never been far away from home before, I've never been anywhere away from home actually. I'm worried about the distance because it's so far away. I also have an offer from UCL and I know everyone would be much happier if I went there but I'm torn between the two. Also I wouldn't have my family close by just in case or for support and wouldn't see them for months at a time probably because of the 5 hour train ride.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm from South Wales so it would be quicker to fly than a 6hour train ride however I feel that if you settle in just fine (which I imagine you will) the distance won't be a big issue at all.
