Can anyone who's already been to a visit day or is planning on going to one this week (particularly psychology) tell me what it entails and how long the talk and day goes on for? I have no idea what time to book the return journey at.

Also, do applicants get to look around the department(s) and anywhere else in the uni?

I went on an english lit visit day on Sat...
11-1130 we had a general talk about the uni and accommodation
1130-1230 we were led around by a student who did our course,. We saw a lot of campus including accommodation, some colleges the library etc
Lunch till 2
2-4 a detailed talk about your course
4-430 a chance to ask students and staff any questions

I've been there multiple times because my sister studies there and I absolutely love it!
I go there nearly every short vacation I have from school (so basically every spring and fall :smile:

). Although the place isn't massive or very city-like, it has all the necessary features even inside the campus.

I'm more of a city person and I don't find Lancaster uni difficult to adapt to.
If you need to go out to town, it's only a 10 min. bus ride.
