Do you mean apply to study your full degree at Ningbo or just a year or semester?

My full degree. I'm doing a languages course though so my third year would be spent abroad anyway.

How does the funding work when you study abroad? Do you still get the same loan etc or what else do you have to pay for?


Id also assume living in China would be cheaper?

Do you mean for one year/as part of your degree or for your whole degree?

I'm not sure but I don't think you can use the funding you get here to do a degree abroad (save for some European unis). Most people would have to self-fund or get some form of scholarship from the school (or another funding body).

For time abroad that is part of your degree, the tuition drops down to under £2000; you are also fully entitled to the maintenance loan/grant and tuition fee loan.

Unfortunately it wouldn't be the same loan system because it's in a different country. It would cost 80,000 RMB a year in China (just over £8000 a year) for tuition. There are a few scholarships too.

The cheapest accommodation for the year costs only £600 and goes up to £1200, none of which include water, heating and internet costs or food.

Oops sorry yeah, studying abroad always tends to work out cheaper unless you go somewhere like the US.

Hi guys I've gotten an offer from Nottingham to study Sociology and Criminology, I applied with 33 IB points.

So I'm wondering which accommodation is the best since I don't know what any of the halls even mean 'Florence boot hall' and stuff. I don't live in the uk either. If anyone has been there could they advise me which halls to live in? I'm thinking about either self catered or catered accommodation. Thanks. Inbox me xx
