in terms of accommodation, if you accept and unconditional offer do you go to the top of the list for your chosen halls, because theres a 99.9% that you will be going in september, compared to someone who might not meet their conditions etc? or is that just wishful thinking..

So nervous now. Hearing from HYMS sometime in the next two weeks, and hopefully Keele too (since they're doing massive amounts of offers/ rejections atm)... suddenly doubting how well the interviews went!
The no offer life is dreadful.. Have had 2 interview (yet to hear back from both), another interview tomorrow and still waiting to hear from UCL. Ah well done to all those who already have offers!

Got one interview left, have had two rejections, and waiting to hear from one post interview. Really nerve wracking! I'm so impatient, I just want to know. I'm spending all half term week on work experience in a hospital, which will be helpful for my interview hopefully, as up till now my major lacking point has been hospital-based experience! Not looking forward to trying to get college work done in the evenings though.

Yep. I want to be positive about them, since i think they went alright, but it's really hard to do without an actual offer lol.

Congratulations! I've got an offer from Leicester too, waiting on Birmingham and Southampton but I'm definitely firming Leeds!

What is anyone going to put as their insurance? Another Medicine one or the non medicine one?

Hard to say as it's pretty subjective ... Based on current leauge tables ucl wins comfortably but you can't read into them too much

Have my first offer (HYMS!) but now a long wait for the others, so on to the stress of trying to get the grades  good luck to everyone who's still waiting

You have just made that up ... Plus world university leauge tables are essentially useless because they're almost entirely based on prestige rather than up to date student satisfaction etc etc. These are the up to date uk university med school rankings

http://www.theguardian.com/education/ng-interactive/2014/jun/03/university-guide-2015-league-table-for-medicine

The third one is world rankings and is pretty much invalidated by the fact kings college London is ranked so highly even though it's bottom 5 in the uk rankings ...

This is the one he is referring to:

(maybe not behind oxford, but it is second)

My point is world university rankings are utterly useless ... They are almost exactly the same year to year because 90 percent of the score is just based on prestige

But they have prestige because theyre good unis... tbh, i wouldnt choose by the league tables anyways, more of where i would like to go as oppose to it being well known
