When you start year 10 the grades are predicted from when you did SATs in year 6 (at least in my school they are). If you got a level 5 in sats your prediction would be A , level 4 would be B and level 3 a C. Your proper predictions you will get at the start of yr11 after continuous progress tests in year 10.

Hope this helps! PM me if you have any more questions :smile:

Hi I'm in Year 9 too :smile:

Usually a level 8 is seen as a predicted A*. There
7=A
6=B
5=C
etc.

These do not guarantee that you will get those grades, you still have to work hard. By Year 9 you should be a level 6 in all your subjects.

Hope this helped :tongue:

Well done! I'm sure you'll do excellent in your GCSE examinations - but what does EP mean? You are yet to sit it/receive a grade?

My school was so much more complex than that, how strange :tongue:
But yeah, OP, you'll be told grades soon enough :smile:

From what I've seen, you'll be fine! Keep it up, stay focused :smile:
I think I got levels 5s in everything (maybe low 6s cant really remember) and got an A in Maths (in Year 10), A* in Science, A in English Lit and B in English Lang.

Dude don't worry about these level things, I got like a level 6 in English and I was one of the best in my class for GCSE in top set (got B's/A's - yes my school sucks at English it seems as hardly anyone got A*'s). You will do fine in GCSEs don't worry. You have 2 years to study for it, I know you want a predicted grade, but only you know your capabilities and a lot can change from now til you take your exams. But from what you got you seem above average yes, apart from possibly English which is average I'd say.

You do realise that levels like this aren't regulated properly so an 8a in your school may not be the same as in another school. Just saying

Are you joking about these results or something? If not, you're coming across as extremely arrogant, these levels are outstanding, but I don't think many people care that much :wink:

I thought year 6 SATS to GCSEs was 5a-5b: A*-A, 5c: B-C, 4: D-E, 3: F-U.
