Congratulations. I was thinking the same thing, i haven't met anyone who is doing the same course as me so its nice finally. Is Canterbury your first choice?

Yes it is, I feel in love with Canterbury when I went their for the applicant day. It doesn't open til April unfortunately, I'm hoping for either North Holmes or Pin Hill, where you looking at?. Did you know the requirement grades have gone up to 280 now?
I'm looking at St George's centre or the new pedros court I think! And yeah on the open day they told me 240 but when I got my offer it was 280. But I reckon they'll be lenient if you miss the 280! Specially as its a new course this year.

I hear they are both nice places to live. What made you choose this course?
Mainly because I wasn't interested in any 'educational' core subject enough to do a degree in it and knowing what I wanted to do with the rest of my life this course suited well! And the fact they pay for the CPK as well is a bonus! What about you?

I've always wanted to join the police force, I want to join the armed response team in the future. Criminal investigation looked the most interesting. The topics look very interesting and fun.
Ah that's cool!! I want to go into counter terrorism mainly and I know that criminal investigation covers parts of that so! Im excited to start

That's a very interested section, I like the idea of major crimes. I think every topic will be interesting as it's new. Do you know if there is any physical involved?
If you're on about the course, I know we do Riot training in the first year and we can volenteer with the police in the second year I think!

Riot police training sounds awesome and I probably will volunteer for experience and fun haha!.
Yeah haha I've done work experience with the police before and it's great fun as well as interesting!

Just praying I get the grades to get in!

Hi guys, I have an unconditional place for "Policing" 2015. Maybe it will just be the three of us!

I immediately felt like CCCU was the right place for me on the open day, and I had quite a long chat with Bob Underwood (the Programme Director) so think I understand the "policing suite" course flow and its flexibility. Any questions ask away!

All being well I will meet you both in September. For now I just have to decide where I want to live!

Congratulations Sam . I have also spoke to Bob Underwood on what the course entails. What policing are you do?, i am doing Criminal Investigation. It's a lovely city with a lot of heritage and activities to do.

I am looking at North Holmes or Pin Hill for accommodation, what one do you like most?
Congratulations sam!!! What specialism have you chosen?:-)

Thanks both .

I'm not sure what to specialise in to be honest, because I am interested in so much of it! I'm hoping the first year will help me decide.
It was criminal investigation that originally caught my eye.

Lanfranc is currently top of my list. I'm still deciding if I need my car, and therefore, parking!

Yes, criminal Investigation was my first choice but I also liked the look of critical incidents.

I hear that's a great place to live, I've decided not to get a car as the city and shops are all close but it could be useful sometimes. Do you know what the nightlife is like there, I haven't heard if the clubs and bars are any good?
