And from him from Muhammad b. Yahya from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa from al-Husayn b. Sa`eed from an-Nadr b. Suwayd from `Asem b. Hameed from Abu Baseer from Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام.

He said: Whoever alleges that Allah is from something, or in something, or upon something has disbelieved. I said: Explain to me. He said: By this I mean [the belief that] He is contained, held, or being preceded.

And in another narration: Whoever alleges that Allah is from something has made Him into a creation, and whoever alleges that He is in something has made Him constrained, and whoever alleges that He is upon something has made Him carried. (al-Kafi, Volume 1, hadith 329)

What a pure supplication it is, is it not? Allah swt knows our hearts, he knows what we want, so why do we pray to him? It is to build that connection with him, to realize his existence and our place.

Agreed brother, on both accounts. This Dua in paticular, a long with dua iftitah, are such sincere supplications to the Almighty.

I'll quote an exerpt:

"In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O Allah! Bless Muhammad and hisprogeny.
O Allah! I beseech Thee by Thy mercywhich encompasses all things
And by Thypower by which Thou overcometh all things
and submit to it all things
and humble before it all things And by Thymight by which Thou hast conquered all things
And by Thy majesty against which nothing can stand up
And by Thy grandeur which prevails upon all things
And by Thy authority which is exercised over all things
And by Thy own self that shall endure forever after all things have vanished
And by Thy Names which manifest Thy power over all things
And by Thy knowledge which pervades all things
And by the light of Thy countenance which illuminates everything
O Thou who art the light! O Thou who artthe most holy! O Thou who existed beforethe foremost! O Thou who shall exist after the last! O Allah!"

It's a shame that Dua Iftitah is mostly restricted to Ramadan

I’m really depressed and upset atm, something extremely bad happened to me, something I could never imagine :cry2:. Can someone help?

Dear sister,

I would be willing to help, but you may prefer to get the help of a sister on here. I advise you to try and open up with those close to you or love you, and if you feel you can't, why not see a G.P and complain about this? Your well being is very important holistically, including your mental well being.

We are all here for you, and i am a PM a way if you require support, please feel free sister.

Have strength, you have done the right thing by acknowledging there is an issue and understanding there is something really worrying you.

May Allah swt help you.

Try check these brothers out, the are really involved with the youth and you can send them emails and they respond. They deal with situations exactly as you are in, i remember Imran (1 of the brothers) saying he gets emails from sisters on thoughts of suicide and he alhamdulillah stops them.

Naseeha sessions (the original channel is currently disabled over a misunderstanding but they started another and are uploading/responding to emails): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKGeFv3Gaho3bD4-hoUx4eg

Ali dawah: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheDawowProject

Musa Adnan: https://www.youtube.com/user/immusaman

Go onto there channels/social media and contact them in shaa allah.

Especially check out naseeha sessions, the original channel was very successful, they'll tell you how to email them in the end of the videos and
you can be as detailed as you want.

Try watching this videos now in shaa allah, i think this video may be quite relatable (i remember on their original channel these videos were popular): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2Ke3j3NG5o and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ws7w_DvBfGo

Please check them out for your sake, i'm sure you won't regret it and don't do anything you'll regret in shaa allah.

Salam.

Peace be with you sister,

Muslims all believe in Imam Mahdi a.s, someone Allah swt will choose to restore justice to the earth and obedience to Imam Mahdi a.s is wajib. Shias believe Allah swt had chosen twelve Imams , who were the liniege of the Prophet PBUH i.e Ali a.s , Hasan a.s , Hussein a.s and so on, whom even sunni brothers and ulema regard as righteous and or great scholars , to preserve his Sunnah.
3. The vast majority of shias do not cut themselves. Many shia Ulema directly and indirectly forbid such an action. I.E anything that can cause self harm or ridicule in the Ummah. I have never done it, and from my view, the majority of shias do not. It is only a minority who follow misguided culture. And as we know in our Ummah, shia or sunni, culture sometimes takes precedence.

Peace be with you brother

So do shias mostly think that Imam Mahdi (Al-Mahdi) will be the one to kill the Anti-Chirst? I realise that the difference between shias and sunni Muslims is that shias believe that the Mahdi will be the one who will kill the Anti-Christ whereas for sunni Muslims Jesus will play a very important role and that he will kill the Anti-Christ. I’ve checked and there are no Hadiths about the Mahdi in Sahih Bukhari.
Jazak Allahu Khayran for clearing this up because I do believe some shias don’t cut themselves. In my country some do and some do not. Those who don’t in Afghanistan give blood instead.

At the same time, we are not allowed to use mocking words against any , like he was an evil disgusting etc. That's forbidden.

The leader of Islamic revolution in response to question announced: "insulting the symbols of the Sunni brothers, including the Prophet Muhammad's wife [Aisha] is forbidden. This includes the women of all prophets and especially the holy Prophet Muhammad

I'm socked to actually be hearing all this because mostly I've known Shias for insulting Aisha and that these beliefs you are telling me are opposite of what I'm thinking. Just shows some shias need to really understand their religion well.
Jazak Allahu Khayran for taking your time explain. May Allah reward you.

Truthfulness
loyalty?
Are these correct?!

Two more
Here is the full answer in detail
· He, the Almighty, has called him As-Siddîq and no one other than him was named that.
· He was the companion of the Messenger of Allah (s) in the cave (during the migration journey).
· He was his companion in the migration journey.
· During the time of the prophet, he (s) ordered him to lead the prayers and the Muslims were there, witnessing and present.”
