The problem with religion is the interpretation of what is written in there...

The Old Testament states that a man who rapes a woman can claim her as his wife but he must pay the father 20 silver coins. These books were written by straight men who wanted to preserve the power of straight men, the only difference between the Abrahamic faiths is the length of violence they are prepared to inflict on dissenters.

I'm a boy,not a girl.Where is your scientific evidence to show your statement is a fact rather than an opinion?

Sorry should have have been a comma in there, i knew you were male.

Scientific basis of logical reasoning.

An aethiest is the lack of belief in a god or diety. A baby not only does not have a belief in a god, it has no concept of a god or religion in the same way it has no concept of anything else. Its too busy eating, pooing, crying and sleeping.

They have with time the capacity for faith and depending on the area of the world its lives will most likely become members of that regions religion

Must one be Muslim in order to know about Islam?

No. But it is laughable how non-Muslims claim to know more about the lives Muslims than practising Muslims themselves.

They are in certain Islamic nations, not including ISIS who have stoned women to death still wearing hijabs. We could also mention the Saudis not allowing women to have driving licenses...

most ppl here know very little about islamic life and culture. they only get info form the tv, when some islamic group starts screaming infront of the cameras and gets into the spotlight,

if thy are complaining just about wearing the headscarf they dont have a clue- becuase in islam men have a right to beat disobident woemn, as per hadith and quran, women have half the inheritence rights of men and their testimony is worth half of men. traditionally in the islamic world women never had voting rights and could never hold major positions of authority - thats why theres never been a female caliph, and barely any female sheihks/ clerics.

The hijab is obligatory on Muslim women in order to maintain modesty. Anybody who denys this is either not religious or is influenced too much by western culture and their nudeness.

"Praise be to Allaah. Hijab is obligatory for all Muslim women who have reached the age of puberty."

They are a few of the 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. One must intend to wear one for the sake of Allah if they're a Muslim, not because they're forced to. Of course, parents have to bring up their children to become Muslims so they might be strongly encouraged to wear one. But generally if young girls have grown up around women wearing hijabs/religious environment, they wear them because they want to wear them.

The hijab is obligatory you have to wear it (you can't, not wear it) hijab isn't a choice, not wearing a hijab is a sin in islam you have to wear it

In Islam men and women not equal in the western sense. They are equal in the spiritual sense. Men and women have different bodies and have been assigned different duties in relation to their bodies. Men do not have more rights than women (as some orientalists have misinterpreted as) they simply have more duties than a woman which Is a good thing, as these extra duties would be a burden on women or not fit for their role in Islam I.e men having the ultimate authority in in politics as caliph and religion as imams.

"Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

“Allaah says ‘Men are the protectors and maintainers of women’ meaning that the man is in charge of the woman, i.e., he is the leader and head of the household, the one who disciplines her if she goes astray.

‘because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other’ i.e., because men are superior to women and are better than women. Hence Prophethood was given only to men, as was the position of khaleefah, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘No people shall ever prosper who appoint a woman as their ruler.’ This was narrated by al-Bukhaari from the hadeeth of ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Abi Bakrah from his father. The same applies to the position of qaadi (judge), etc."

Its not a "beating".

Quran is very clear on this issue. Almighty Allah says: "Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more strength than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore, the righteous women are devoutly obedient and guard in the husband's absence what Allah would have them to guard. As to those women on whose part you fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance); for Allah is most High and Great (above you all). If you fear a breach between them twain, appoint (two) arbiters, one from his family and the other from hers. If they wish for peace, Allah will cause their reconciliation; for Allah has full knowledge and is acquainted with all things." (Quran: An-Nisaa 34-35)

It is important to read the section fully. One should not take part of the verse and use it to justify one's own misconduct. This verse neither permits violence nor condones it. It guides us to ways to handle delicate family situation with care and wisdom. The word "beating" is used in the verse, but it does not mean "physical abuse". The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) explained it "dharban ghayra mubarrih" which means "a light tap that leaves no mark". He further said that face must be avoided. Some other scholars are of the view that it is no more than a light touch by siwak, or toothbrush.

Generally, the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) used to discourage his followers from taking even this measure. He never hit any female, and he used to say that the best of men are those who do not hit their wives. In one Hadith he expressed his extreme repulsion from this behavior and said, "How does anyone of you beat his wife as he beats the stallion camel and then embrace (sleep with) her?” (Al-Bukhari, English Translation, vol. 8, Hadith 68, pp. 42-43)

It is also important to note that even this "light strike" mentioned in the verse is not to be used to correct some minor problem, but it is permissible to resort to only in a situation of some serious moral misconduct when admonishing the wife fails, and avoiding from sleeping with her would not help. If this disciplinary action can correct a situation and save the marriage, then one should use it."

youre right it is very clear on the issue - but you seem to want to close your eyes to it-none of what youve written refutes anything i quoted- quran uses the term beat - it allows men to beat muslims women. black and white. you cannot remove that right from them to beat you while you are a muslim

the rest of what youve written is someones opinion- what do you follow - opinions or the quran??

also why do you quote only a hadith where muhammed said dont hit your wife, when you know full well there is hadith showing he did hit his own wife - what are you doing there?
(edited 9 years ago)
how would you like to take such a beating - then see if its 'no big deal'

:lolwut: :sigh:

I'm guessing you didn't read any of what I posted then. No where does it say that they are beaten black and blue, its nothing more than a light tap, for very severe circumstances.
