is 7.6 (3.4) the same thing as 7.6 ± 3.4

As you may have guessed my degree is not maths,

Thanks in advance !

NB 7.6 (3.4) shows 7.6 mean and 3.4 SD

No but the plus or minus might be indicating where the first standard deviation from the mean lies on a normal distribution graph.

in one set of results i have
7.6 ± 3.4
2.77 ± 1.47
etc

and in the other i have
51 (30)
1 (0.6)

I want to change them so they're both the same format
can i combine them and put
7.6 (3.4)
2.77 (1.47)
51 (30)
1(0.6)

???
